Family Investment Center

The Family Investment Center is a "one-stop shop" for social services located at 905 Main Street in Macon, Ga. The center is located in a public housing development called "Davis Homes." The Family Investment Center is a program that has staff from several agencies who provide families with needed resources that are convenient, affordable and accessible. Some of the agencies and their services represented are: DFCS (WIC program, Family Self-Sufficiency, childcare center), Boys and Girls Club (after school programs), Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, Goodwill (computer classes, job placement service), Bibb County Health Department, Macon Housing Authority (resident services), Project READ, and Headstart (Pre-K program). Anyone who needs these services may come by the Family Investment Center and speak with a counselor for a referral to an appropriate program.

Family Counseling Center provides counseling for residents of Public Housing, Section 8, HOPE VI and clients of the Family Investment Center at no charge. You may be seen at Family Investment Center or at the Family Counseling Center office in downtown Macon. This service is available through partial funding through the City of Macon's Community Development Block Grant Program.

Through the City of Warner Robins' Community Development Block Grant Program, residents of public housing, Section 8 and Habitat for Humanity are also eligible for counseling at no charge at our Warner Robin's office which is located at 106-B Olympia Dr.
