Our Mission

Who We Are

The Family Counseling Center is a private, nonprofit agency established in 1957 by the Junior League of Macon and the United Way of Central Georgia to help people in times of stress. The center has master's level, licensed therapists, trained in marriage and family therapy, social work and psychology. Their credentials, licensing and training assure the highest quality of service. The clinical staff adheres to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

What We Do

What Happens When You Call?
A staff member will discuss your specific concerns and help you determine your options. Regardless of the type of problem you are having, the Family Counseling Center will treat you with respect and understanding. Although medical and emergency services are not available, referrals will be made to other providers as needed.
